This is absolutely and utterly heartbreaking.
The 911 call that Jennifer Hudson’s sister, Julia, made upon finding her mother murdered by her ex-husband, William Balfour, was released today.
The tape was used today in the murder trial of Balfour, who’s accused of killing Hudson’s mother Darnell, brother Jason and 7-year-old nephew Julian.
In the call, Julia can be heard begging:
“Help, please. Oh, God. Somebody’s killed my mother, somebody’s killed my mother…Please help me. Oh my God, oh my God.”
The dispatcher then proceeds to ask Julia if an ambulance is needed, to which she tells them she is scared and asks them to send one to the house.
Julia’s devastating call continues:
“She’s on the floor and I see blood coming from her head…I just came home from work and there’s a bullet hole in our front door…she’s 57 years old. Please help my mama. Please just send an ambulance.”
Horrifying.
Julia can then be heard talking to a neighbor, asking where her brother was, as she was left in the house, alone.
We cannot even bear the thought.
The murder trial began last Monday in Chicago, with Jennifer testifying that she never approved of Julia’s marriage to Balfour and did not like the way he treated her.
Our thoughts are with Jennifer, Julia and their family at this extremely painful time.
