While we thought these two would wind up sitting beside Demi Lovato and producer Simon Cowell, it’s great to hear an official announcement!!
In a statement, Simon revealed:
“It’s taken more than a decade but I’m delighted to finally be on a panel with three girls (I think!). Paulina and Kelly both have great taste and massive experience in the music industry and together with Demi, this is going to be a fun panel. It just feels like the time to do something different.”
“I am very excited to be reuniting with Simon Cowell and The X Factor family. It feels great to be able to take this journey here at home in the states!”
What a perfect fit for her!! She really is one of Destiny’s children, LOLz!!

Although the only two folks confirmed to be returning to the X Factorjudgespanel for the reality competition’s upcoming third season are Simon Cowell and Demi Lovato, it appears that this will all change on Monday afternoon – as that’s when the two latest recruits will be announced!
Simon took to Twitter early this morning to reveal:
We start x factor auditions in charleston on Tuesday. The new panel will be announced Monday. This is going to be an interesting show!
Insiders are now confirming that the former Destiny’s Child starlet is thisclose to finalizing her deal, which means she’ll be bringing her past experience on the X Factor UK across the pond to us!
Which means that if everything goes as planned, and recently-speculatedPaulina Rubio also ends up in one of the coveted seats, we’ll be watching Simon face off against three very FEROSH, talented ladies this fall!

The world of music is still mourning the loss of Kris Kross rapper ChrisKelly, who died of a possible drug overdose yesterday afternoon. But perhaps nobody is taking it harder than Jermaine Dupri.
Earlier today, the hip hop producer tweeted out a letter to his fans expressing his sadness over his fallen friend, saying:
“To the world Chris was MacDaddy but to me, he was a son I never had.”
Jermaine went on to say:
“His passion for the music, his love for doing shows, his want to [be] better than everyone else, was always turnt (sic) up.”
He concluded the letter by saying:
“When i think about it I spent more time with Chris [Kelly] and Chris [Smith] than damn near anybody in my whole life, so you can imagine how bad this hurts. I will always love you chris, and I will never let the world forget you, may god bless your soul.”
The So So Def producer discovered the duo when he was just 18 years old and helped put together their breakthrough debut, Totally Krossed Out. From that moment on, they rode a non-stop rocket to stardom and Jermaine went on to become one of the biggest names in the hip hop scene.
It’s obvious that the two were very close and we can’t imagine how difficult this must be fore him. We send our condolences and deepest sympathies to Jermaine for his loss.

The memory of me freak dancing to a Kriss Kross song at my junior high school dance is now dead, because ChrisKelly of Kriss Kross has floated, backwards of course, off to heaven. Chris was only 34 years old.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution says that Chris was found unresponsive at his home in Atlanta this afternoon. The paramedics took him to the Atlanta Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. Chris’ cause of death is not known right now and there’s not a lot of details beyond that. The Medical Examiner’s Office says that an autopsy will be done tomorrow morning.
Chris and Chris “Daddy Mac” Smith were discovered by JermaineDupri in 1990 at a mall in Atlanta. Jermaine helped them get a record deal and two years later their first album came out. They toured with Michael Jackson and their album’s biggest hit “Jump” went to #1 in the US. After their third album came out, they separated for a second and tried to do their own thing. The last I heard, they were planning a comeback.
I’m wearing sweats right now, so the front pretty much looks the same as the back, but I’m still going to wear them backwards in honor of Mac Daddy. RIP.
