As if the last pair didn’t sell for enough $$$!
A pair of green striped silk slippers that belonged to Marie Antoinette sold at a Parisian auction on Wednesday for more than ,000, five times the expected amount.
DAYUM.
The guillotined queen gifted the slippers to her manservant, Alexandre-Bernard Ju-Des-Retz, in 1775 and were passed down to his descendants.
And unlike the last auction, these shoes were CONFIRMED to have been worn by Marie Antoinette, as the winning bidder was given a certificate of authenticity.
Now that’s what you call a good buy!!

It’s true!
Agyness Deyn has walked her last catwalk and is officially retired from the modeling world.
The now ex-supermodel made the not so shocking announcement in her profile featured in the UK’s Independent newspaper on Sunday.
Aggy confessed:
“I suppose I have stopped modelling officially. I’ve not done any for a good long while now. I think it was about four years ago when my feelings were changing towards the industry. I didn’t hate it, but I was yearning to do something different. I was on a gradient. It was a gradual thing.”
With her catwalking days behind her, Mrs. Giovanni Ribisi plans to focus on her career as an stripper actress, adding:
“I’ve had this great chunk of time – 10 years – to find out what I really wanted to do, which is to act.”
Good for you, Aggy!
If your heart’s not in it anymore, it’s better to find something you’re passionate about.
We can’t wait to see you lighting up the silver screen!

They’re no ruby slippers, but they’re still pretty damn cool!
Designer Dominic Wilcox is making Wizard of Oz dreams come true by making GPS-enabled footwear.
The wearer’s destination is uploaded to the shoe via USB and with a click of the heel your journey down the yellow brick road sidewalk begins!
The right shoe features an LED progress bar that starts with one red light at the beginning and ends on the green light when you arrive.
The correct direction to walk is shown on the left shoe with the illumination of one of the LED’s on the circle.
Impressive!
If you’re one of the many people who lose their way, Wilcox’ shoes are only a prototype.
Boo!
Maybe some day Glinda the Good Witch can wave her magic wand and have them mass produced!
