Crocs Crafts New Looks: Wedges, Peep-Toes, Sneakers
They’re getting it!
Instead of spending hours on new ways to sell classic rubber clog, the team behind Crocs shoe realized variety in business is key.
Thanks to their new thinking, the numbers have seen a dramatic increase. In fact, 54% of current sales come from the new line of wedges, flats, and peep-toes.
CEO John McCarvel said of the epiphany:
“Our main focus today is getting new customers to understand that we’re no longer just a clog. I think this is our biggest challenge as a brand today – getting people to take a look at us in a different way. We had to innovate our way out of the situation we had put ourselves in.”
And that they did!
As we’ve previously discussed, Crocs is no longer falling down a bankrupt black hole and if business keeps going the way it is, it’s going to be a while before they ever have to worry about that again!
